Electronic Health Records: A case study from Kenya

This case study describes the implementation of the new OpenMRS-based system called Afya (Swahili for ‘health’) Electronic Health Management System (AfyaEHMS) in Machakos County in Kenya. The case study assesses the challenges associated with implementation, and suggests some recommendations for rolling out digital methods to keep clinical records in developing countries.
