Financial Times, Jakarta Post and The Star mention new commission ahead of launch

Pathways for Prosperity has been mentioned in the media ahead of the official launch in Nairobi this week.
The Jakarta Post carries today an opinion piece by Sri Mulyani Indrawati, the Indonesian finance minister and one of the three co-chairs of the commission.
In 'Harnessing technology for inclusive growth', Sri Mulyani Indrawati explores the potential of technology to support and accelerate development: from mobile finance to 3D printing, new technologies have already created new opportunities and benefits for people in developing countries.
“But new technologies also have the potential to disrupt markets and change the jobs landscape. For example, some studies suggest that up to a third of work activities may be under threat of automation.”
She goes on to talk about the aim of the Pathways for Prosperity Commission, “examine emerging technologies [...] and provide insights as well as concrete policy recommendations to address the risks and opportunities”.
Further coverage which appeared ahead of the launch was an interview with Melinda Gates in the Financial Times in which the new Pathways for Prosperity commission is mentioned, and a piece in Kenya’s The Star.
