Health and education in the digital age - Washington D.C

The Commission wants to see a world where health and education in a digital age is efficient and inclusive. Digital and digitally enabled technologies offer exciting new opportunities to transform health and education throughout the developing world.

Implemented effectively, these emerging technologies can dramatically improve outcomes and efficiency and ensure that benefits are much more widely and equitably distributed. Our new major report looking at health and education in a digital age will be published later this Spring.

The Commission hosted a discussion in Washington DC as a side event to the annual World Bank Spring Meetings. This event, which included senior health experts, policy makers, and leaders from intergovernmental organisations and think tanks, examined how technology can help to make better health and education systems a reality for all. The discussions will help shape the Commission's final report.

This event was one of a series of Commission events held in Washington DC at the Spring Meetings. You can read about our event 'Digital global governance for developing countries' here.
