Watch: Panel on Harnessing Technology for Inclusive Growth

As part of the World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings in Bali during October 2018, the Pathways Commission delivered a joint High Level Panel with the World Bank on Harnessing Technology for Inclusive Growth.

The panel included the Pathways Commission's three co-chairs, Melinda Gates, Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, and Strive Masiyiwa, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank, Kristalina Georgieva, Special Advisor to the Executive Director of Smart Africa, Jean Philbert Nsengima, and Vice President of the European Investment Bank, Ambroise Fayolle.

The panel discussed how we can address digital exclusion and ensure that we create meaningful connections for the next 3 billion people, as well as the opportunities and challenges that new technologies pose for jobs and livelihoods, especially for those in developing countries.
